This was the second curfew imposed in Cizre since Saturday, where security operations against PKK terrorist organization members were still proceeding.
The curfew began at 7 p.m., local time (0400GMT) Sunday and ended at 7 a.m., local time (0400GMT) Monday, according to a statement released by the governor’s office.

Meanwhile, Turkish officials announced that 32 PKK terrorists, including high-ranking members, were killed and 10 detained and more than 45 barricades and ditches set up by the terrorists have been destroyed during the operations conducted in the first curfew in the town.
The officials said that the operations against the PKK targets took place mostly in Cizre’s Nur neighborhood during the curfew imposed between September 4-11. More than 45 PKK barricades were destroyed and some 30 ditches were refilled in Nur neighborhood. Rest of the relatively small barricades will be destroyed soon, officials added.
