Times of Turkey

PKK terrorists staged a roadside bomb attack against police forces escorting customs officials in work commute in eastern Igdir province, security sources said on Tuesday.

Sources have not disclosed how many people have been martyred or wounded.

PKK terrorists detonated explosives while police were passing through Hasanhan village that lies on the road to Dilucu Border Gate on the Turkey-Azerbaijan border, sources added.

Security forces have launched operation following the attack.

The PKK, which is designated as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU, renewed an armed campaign against the Turkish state in the aftermath of the July 20 suicide bombing in Sanliurfa province’s Suruc district that killed 34 people.
